a packed sunday!

yesterday was a packed, fun filled day. first was met up with weihao, angie and woo heng at tampines 1 for weihao's birthday!

its my first time there. erm nothing much to shop lei but the food there is great! go to manpuku at level 3 for all the japanese food there! we had the fruit pies, which is fabulous. we also made a mental note to come back for the ramen, sushi and such!

after that was shopping and exploring around the new mall, which we found a pretty good shui jian bao. i'll definately be back there for more!

later in the evening was steamboat at bugis with jon and gang for his birthday, which i ate 6 crabs unknowingly. damn guilty, cos i shouldnt be eating so much of it at all due to my high cholesterol! =(

random rants.

some random rants for the past few days,

sat was spent at jaime's bdae. met up with jingyao in the morn to get his prez, and i must say this is one of the shortest time i spent to get some one's prez. its always good with jingyao cos he would make it chop chop done.

but in the end, jingyao fell sick in the late afternoon and did not go for the party.. so i ended up going with only meepok, hong and ah kee.

anw, on my way home, i took the circle line! latest addition to our mrt system. its pretty spacious at the stations. transfered at bishan mrt, which i havent been to for years! used to take train there very often as bishan is one of the fav hangout during secondary school.. it looked so different now!

yesterday was dinner with mich and cheewei at serangoon gardon hawker centre. after dinner we were looking for a place to chill, and in the end we settles for K! and we realise, after knowing each other for 10 years, this is the first time that we actually K!

time flies, and how easy is it to make friends that actually stays? not easy at all..

rena, yen, its been a real long time since we 3 met up. rena, its really great to be at your birthday, glad to be there to celebrate the great double 2 for you!

and at the same time, so paiseh cos we're there to celebrate your birthday but at the same time you guys gave me a present too! haha..

happy birthday mich! time flies.. i find that recent years, the rate of our birthdays coming are becoming really fast..

this year its at bakerzine and ballymoon! the food is not bad, but most of them find that its not so fulfilling.. so we had spicy chicken wings at ballymoon! had quite a great time there with all the talking, drinking, and i finally how much of my stories mich is telling the girls! some of them is so not true! haha.. mich please dun make me sound like i am a two timer in a relationship.. -_- lolz..

its a nice gathering, though some of them i only meet up like once a year, we can still quite click. maybe we should have more outing, right mich?

Just home from celebrating Mabel's birthday! Had great dinner at sushi tei, and she finally chose what she want for her birthday. though a small gift, its our xin yi!

Sally and boon left after the dinner and the two of us headed to cathay to catch marley and me! We both thought its going to be a comedy, but it turned out to be a really meaningful movie.

How true it is, that a dog doesn't care who you are, if you're rich or poor, if you're tall or short. He's always there for you, as long as you give him you love. No matter what. And no matter how big the mess is, you'll still love him.

Found it a great movie and i am really touched at the later part of the show.. nearing to the end.. The relationship the family shares with the dog, how it has became a part of the family.

back to school.

it feels so much like back to school days, met up with tat, janet, erica over sat AND sun! it has been so long since we met up straight two days, which makes me feels like back to school all the way!

saturday was for janet's 21st! headed to her house after some present hunting in town. jan's family is a lively and fun one! all the relatives are so friendly! we talked to her uncle, cousin, godpa and godma and alot more other members!

next was chilling in town with loads of talks. met up with the trio after the lunch with campmates. camped at burger king (!) before the girls left at ard 6, so me and tat roams around and talked alot. its good to do catching up once in the while.. which is what we have been unable to do since we have all got on to our busier lives..

anw, we have been thinking of a small trip overseas! i am thinking of having it at my birthday week, haha! not a bad choice what. since everything i have planned for the chalet is SCREWED UP cos there is no more chalet available.

a busy and packed day! met up with mabel for the parade and its followed by boon's birthday and then chia's. too many programmes packed in a evening!! hah. almost couldn't reach in time.

once again, luck is with us as we got great seats again! sat just behind the ministers so the view is great.

the fireworks and black knights are the highlights of the parade, also trying hard to spot cousin at one of the performance! but was not able too. maybe i'll go home and check out the encore telecast at channel 8.

walked to raffles mrt with mabel after the parade and took train down to meet sally before cabbing to boon's party. haven't see sally for quite some time already and she had a new hairstyle!

Luckily, we reached the chalet in time to be the last group for the photo taking. i was quite worried that we might have missed it. haha. friends of 17 years, of course i wouldn't want to disappoint boon laa.. hope he likes the presents and everything.

shortly after that, rushed over to chia's birthday! practically ran over there! sweaty all over, even worse than IPPT! ha! sang bdae song and played like crazy, with help of some cream and coke lime.

some how i think its quite interesting to have this kind of gatherings for us who are serving.. most of the time we see each other only in uniforms la and suddenly when all of us are in civi, i am so not used to it! bleahx.

the night continues with mahjong at my place, with jianji, jamie and raymond. and i won 1 buck!! woohoo0-!

had a celebration for mabel's "20th birthday", as suppose she is always one year younger than boon. hehee! had steamboat at seoul garden, havent been there for long! at least a few years. they have since also changed the pan they use for steamboat. food is nt bad but its a fun meal for the four of us gathers together again and talk like endleessly. also had a mini cake cutting for her. k followed by the dinner at a new venue which we forgot the name. the place is nice, nicer then k box! but the song system is quite complicated..sound system also soso nia.. maybe we shd stick back to k! ha.

went to his performance with mabel last night at suntec. its actually a annual dinner for a particular MLM co. haa! thou had to wait for like 3 hours before he sings, its totally worth it! he sang like more than 10 songs la.. and the seat is so strategic. thanks to mabel for the invitation!

last week also went for xiu's 21st.

anw, birthday last week. twentyfirst, the key to adulthood, more freedom, and of cos- i finally stand a chance to get those perks that the govt is giving! new singapore share, progressive package, gst package. come quick!!

am touched. by the people who made the effort to take time and come down to the small celebration.. am not touched, by the people who did not come but didnt even inform.. but its ok la. i am happy for what i get.

thanks everyone.. for the present, for coming.. to my cousins who came over to help out. for the memory.

remember the fire drill here at mica last yr? during the last week of my internship? its suppose to not happen so often. like once or twice a year only. and guess wat? i actually met one again. -_- last thurs!!!

as usual our dept is like one of the latest la. cant imagine what if a fire really break out. haha!

sentosa! still as good but not the same paradise anymore.

went over to sentosa on sun cos its mum's bdae.. and dad suggest going there cos its like long since we last went (10 yrs) and also to see the new musical fountain. there so much changes over there!!! but anws, i am quite disappointed la.. cos theres no longer the tranquility that i used to be able to find there.. so many places down there that i used to go are gone liao.. even the ferry terminal! i think hor its like quite a icon of sentosa leh.. hm hmm.. maybe they're right.. we need these changes for a better future.. lets hope the better future will really come!

song of the sea! great!

dropped by at the new musical fountain too! now its called the songs of the sea. with abit of simple story line and a few people acting, combined with fire and pyrotechnics. actually i do find that its quite worth the 6 bucks. not too bad. and also met YJ there! know he's working at sentosa but didnt really expect to see him there.. lol.. going there makes me so tempted to work there!!! i think if i really work there.. my mood will become v good lor haha. pictures up later. too lazy to upload. lol.

and for today!!! i took half day leave hehe. went to meet sis peisin and jieying for TANK'S CONCERT!!! woohoo-! walaos its like totally so good lor. i heart him. his songs are great. one minor disappointment is that he did not sing 我們小時候。otherwise it would have been total perfect. also bought his album there since i have wanted to long ago, its cheaper there at 16, and i get to get it autographed! y not right??

eh.. the concert this time round is by 1003 de but i keep thinking and thot that it is 933.. till i see lingzhi i shocked.. cos i forgot she "jump" to 1003 liao.. still miss her way of hosting but she makes better chemistry with cruz back at the 933 days la..

after the concert, i see jieying home while peisin rush of to the next filming at mediacorp.. while i went to meet GC. haish.. miss her alot.. its been quite some time since we last met up and i really felt like i miss her alot on sat.. so i asked her if she wanna meet today.. was shopping ard amk hub and talking before her mum came and join us for dinner.. everything was great la.. the chat, the food, the company.

on some recaps first, wed was spent out to be with the cousins for aunt's birthday.. dinner at fish and co! was a great gathering as we usually only gathers at grandma's place. seldom an outing like this!

when we were really young.. we had all the time to play together.. to enjoy every moments of our lives.. but as we all grow, time seems to be not enough. it has to be divided amongst other people. like friends, colleagues and others.. i hope that in future, we all can spend more time together!

today's weikeong and david's last day, and theres a farewell lunch at highlanders at clark quay.. foods nice but its ex too! i think that place's name is highlander or something? had fun and laughter there.. and also foto taking! had wanted to take some fotos with the friends there.. but it seem like they dun really take fotos de.. hmm hmm...

thou know dave and wk for only a short time but i will miss the slacking times and crapping times we all had laa! life's all about like this.. people come and people go.. but what's impt is that they left footprints rite?

jus home from supper with hitsu. wanted to go cut hair, shop close le. wanted to go prata, shop close down le. MY FAV ATHAR IS NO LONGER IN EXISTENCE!!!!

sighs.. its quite saddening.. its THE prata shop that accompanied me thru my sec sch days.. a fav hang out me and sam always go.. the supper place for me and hitsu. and now, without warning, its gone and its forever. how to say leh? its a horrible feeling. something you are familiar with and never thought will be gone, is just gone. and you know it won't be back.

that feeling suck. i stood for like 20 seconds outside the closed athar and my mind is at a sudden lost.

sometimes, i think that we as human take things too for granted.. that we never thought that one day, things might be gone.. for this athar case, its not only the food that i miss, but the feelings that i have grew for it over the years. countless supper, that late lunch i had there after my chinese story telling competition, breakfasts there before the remedial classes on sats... and the list goes on. these are part of my memories that i will treasure alot!!!

another task on hand right now is to find another supper/gathering spot at serangoon area. -_-

woo~! dinner at sam's place. the best ramen on earth. would like to thank chelle for her generous treat!! sigh too bad i choose the wrong flavour for the cake.. but i really hope we all enjoyed that nite! i hope that next year.. next next yr.. and so on.. we all could stll be able to enjoy.. and i hope that one day.. that someone could join us back too..
