facebook just reminded me that i have not tried the quarter pounder at macs. its so tempting, i think i will try it for lunch one day this week!

movie marathon.

impromptu is the magic word to lots of fun, when a two men dinner turns into a three men one. the fish and chips at amk is just great, finally satisfied my craving for so many days.. haha.

was supposed to meet up with ray for movie, and asked zhihong to come too and included a dinner gathering at amk.. first movie was scandal makers, requested by ray, but also a movie which i had wanted to see too.


didn't really liked the starting part- find the daughter too irritating by just dashing in to the father's life and expect things to go by her way. but overall the whole show is a warm themed one and the songs in it are so nice. cha tae-hyun also did a good job in protraying the father, who has a daughter and grandson out of sudden. a very different side of him from my sassy girl!


after the movie, the trio felt that its just still early at 9 la.. and so they decided to go for another movie! physco-ed them to watch the proposal, which is just real good! laughed to tears at so many parts, and also loved the sarcastic language both the leads used intensively.

its my first movie marathon, and i think it will definitely not be the last. the feeling of watching the films you want at one go is definitely shiok. the next time, we must include jingyao! talk cock sessions are never the same without him.

a packed sunday!

yesterday was a packed, fun filled day. first was met up with weihao, angie and woo heng at tampines 1 for weihao's birthday!

its my first time there. erm nothing much to shop lei but the food there is great! go to manpuku at level 3 for all the japanese food there! we had the fruit pies, which is fabulous. we also made a mental note to come back for the ramen, sushi and such!

after that was shopping and exploring around the new mall, which we found a pretty good shui jian bao. i'll definately be back there for more!

later in the evening was steamboat at bugis with jon and gang for his birthday, which i ate 6 crabs unknowingly. damn guilty, cos i shouldnt be eating so much of it at all due to my high cholesterol! =(

shiate. i have a pes review coming up in two week's time. whats going to happen? up pes again and start to do all those shit all over again, but now at a brand new environment? or stay with my easy life i am having how? wish me good luck.

happy birthday mich! time flies.. i find that recent years, the rate of our birthdays coming are becoming really fast..

this year its at bakerzine and ballymoon! the food is not bad, but most of them find that its not so fulfilling.. so we had spicy chicken wings at ballymoon! had quite a great time there with all the talking, drinking, and i finally how much of my stories mich is telling the girls! some of them is so not true! haha.. mich please dun make me sound like i am a two timer in a relationship.. -_- lolz..

its a nice gathering, though some of them i only meet up like once a year, we can still quite click. maybe we should have more outing, right mich?

mich, met up with her today.. to get the router and a belated birthday treat from her!

dinner at this noodle place at the basement of the cathay. theres chinese ramen, xiao long bao and some china-ish food. a really heavy meal followed by walking around before settling at swenson to have ice cream for their choclate fondue. had a good hearty chat and it feels like we have not met up for long already.. infact we do! 4 months according to her..

with friends like her.. i really do hope that we have more chances to meet up.. sometimes i always feel that time is always not enough..

Events - outings.

quite eventful these few days! met up with Eugene on Thurs- he's on half day so i went over to raffles city to meet him for lunch and chill. I wanna say thanks bro for spending the whole afternoon with me and listen to my rants of my miserable life. it really helped alot. =D

coincidentally, agnes and gang was also at raffles city for lunch! haha. chatted with them for a while while waiting for eugene.. and so i arranged lunch with agnes the next day! haha.. certainly misses those working days with them.. unlike now where i feel so wasted and my brain cells all wasting away.

yesterday was at sofian's for hari raya! first time joining them as i didnt go for last year's. the food is great and so is the company! love the fried potatoes loads. hohoh. jielun finally turned up after so long. haha. headed to town for some walk walk afterwards with jielun and junwei.

my feed reader seems to be fixed. i hope. haha. read the last few posts of blinkymummy and saw that she revealed the face of her partner - mr "good fren"! haha. his debut appearance with full face. some of the readers so cute, commented that good fren finally has eyes! cos she always mosaic his eyes to protect identity. lol..

anw, i went to remove the stitches yesterday. paid $0 woohoo-! serving ns is not that bad afterall. haha. michelle and vic came over and pei me mahjong last night too.. second time coming over since the op and also volunteered to pei me. iam so touched. =D

just total madness! i have just finished the two 4 yolk mooncake that cousin gave me just 3 days ago! *gasps* and its not even near to mooncake fest yet! still two days away. wahaha. i've got 2 more boxes with cousin as i have still not collected it from her. woohoo-!

just home not long ago, from the acer carnival. everyone was given half day off for it and we all went to bishan park. the ground was extremely muddy from the morning's rain la and our shoes all gone. haha. luckily i was wearing slippers! but well, shd have worn the saf sandles, that would be easier to wash!

quite fun, walking around playing the games, winning the toys, having some light snacks. reminds me that i have actually not been to a carnival for many years. but well, at least i went to one today, and its still not too late to go for more right? haha.

anyway, we forgot to take photos today! tze wei bought camera and we were all having so much fun that we actually forgot to take any pictures. haha!

NE Show 2008

met up with mabel for the once a year event- NDP! was kind of worried as it was raining quite heavily when i am booking out of camp in the morning, thinking its going to be shits if the rain continues till evening. but wells, lucks with us as usual and the weather is great by the time we met at 4!

kind of like this location for ndp too.. the skyline matches greatly with the stage and the fireworks.. think its going to be even better a few years later when more building that is being built now is done!


When we were making our way to our green sector seats, suddenly a Malay man stopped us and asked if we were a couple!? We shook our head and answered very quickly No, thinking that he was trying to interview us or to get us to play some games.

Actually he was asking whether only the two of us were watching the parade coz he had 2 yellow sector tix and 2 green sector tix and he would like to swop tix with us. Haha!!! What a misunderstanding! It reminds me of last year, when Mr Ang and Mrs Mo thought that Mabel, Boon, Sally and I were dating couples, haha!.

Anyway, we were very lucky, the yellow sector is right infront of the main stage! We got a very good view of everything from where we were seated.

We also get a great view of the combined choir, finally back after a one year hiatus! Kept feeling something is missing in its hiatus. haha. and the photos montage shown on the screen in one of the segment is great! the color, the angle, thought both of us thought is kinda propagandaish. haha!


This year, the best segment is the aerial display by the Black Knights! The moves they made were graceful and the stunts heart-stopping! So dangerous! Held our breaths real hard at some parts!

And we caught sight of Zoe and her son, Braydon! They must be there to watch her husband's performance, he is one of the pilots. Zoe is very pretty and her son is so cute! Totally not auntish lor. I will continue to support her. Haha!


Erm.. Fireworks is my fav as usual.. i can't explain it. the special meaning that it holds for me, that i will only be the one who knows it. =(


This time one is not that fanciful.. maybe its cos that its the first NE show.. Hope that it'll be better in the weeks to come and the finale will be a great one!! But no doubt, it still made a climax for the evening!

National Day has kind of not as "re nao" as last time liao.. the kind of publicity it has and such.. i remembered when i was younger, the tv and radio will start to air all the songs and videos for national day! this yr, the theme song is not even out and this is the first time i am listening to it. hai..

But still... Looking forward to the more coming weeks of fireworks! Woohoo!

Out for fun?

day filled with fun and lots of food! had buffet lunch at japs with cousins, followed by meeting jb for shopping at bugis. looked ard but theres no catch. wanted to get some clothes for cny la.. *opps actually bought some liao still wanna buy haha.* saw a shirt though. but didnt get it. YET! haa. met up with the rest of the gang afterwards for dinner and chill out at short street. beer and soccer. ended the day by prata afterwards, with special thanks to han for sending the peeps home. hohoho.

Packed

yesterday is packed to the brim. went back to office for some handover, visited ms soh at cat high, met up with jess and gang in the evening. woohoo-!

have not gotten the pics from chelle yet so i will post about the Cat High 一日游 later.



now on the night outing, we had dinner at crystal jade. its my first time there and i love their congee. theres so much we talk about cos we have not met for so long!



tat and me is going in on sat. both sch 1 and same time. will we become bunk mates? i will let you know when i come back two weeks later.

met up with Gary, the outing-before-ns. we went for ichiban sushi and its great! the sashimi is better than those of sakae!

and of cos, how can we miss the tau huay. cool relaxing outing!!

lunch on thurs was branja-ed by DA JIE! thanks!!! actually was already vvv paiseh with all these treating "farewell" lunches le.. they are not cheap!! i really appreciates it alot.. =) the two of us and SH went to that ramen stall at central where we have heard so much about it already but have not tried yet. personally i find it pretty good while DA JIE and SH finds that tam popo is still better..

agnes gave me a lift yest after work to town, and we shared some views on working.. at the same time i reflected how working and temping the last few years changed me.. in personality wise and others.. hope that i have became someone better! definately learnt alot but i think that a person on whole is not only measured by the knowledge, right?

as i was ranting a few posts back about how nyp is slow even in graduation.. i got the letter today re the graduation! and yes we have the graduation robe too! i can foresee.. 數百人同時在謀殺底片的壯觀場面...

anw, jus out with ling and binz.. havent met them for a long long time! had xin wang hk cafe and it arent that good la.. but we made up with all the chatting! strolled from heartland mall back home.. ha! the last time... we strolled home after our outing too.. maybe the next time, we can just meet up and stroll the whole day.. *i was jus joking..*

work is getting more intense this few days! deadline for submission of budget is coming but the mgt has so many things not fixed yet! and things getting messier.. -_- and i also become more slack sighs.. everything pls be well soon!!! i hope that work can be more smoothly la..

getting tired easily nowadays.. it must be something to do with the late nights. but its not that i don't want to sleep early, but rather, its difficult to get into sleep. things keep flowing into the mind especially in the nights.. and i starts to think alot.

nights always gives me the very comfortable feeling.. that i can just think.. of a lot of things.. its truly a very good time to be in deep thots.

anw, just home not long ago. went to the pasar malam with mum and sis.. its been long since i go there to munch on the foodie!!! cos for a long long time.. i had been too lazy to go and always get the rest to tapao for me.. haha! miss those days man.. when i was still much younger and will always go pasar malam.. to play those games and buy those snacks..

biz there arent good. theres one stretch of the pasar malam practically has no one at all. how is biz going to cont man.. and then slowly this pasar malam culture wil be gone forever.. hm.. sad sad. cos its something truely singaporean.. and theres less and less of things that truely singaporean liao..

my mum is kp-ing to my dad about how "bad" i am on the fone now. damns. i am irritated. some arguement/disagreement/quarrel/whatever-u-call-it broke out this morn before i left home. less of this kinda life pls.. i am already very tired.. and these are adding weight onto me.. =(

went to cut my hair, cos the prev experience was bad enough and my hair was is bad condition ever since. hair is now short! cos i decide to cut off those damaged part and let my healthy hair grow.. i hope i can get back the length before i get enlisted!!

also had lunch with hitsu and a slacking session at her house. lunch's at serangoon garden hawker centre, its not chomp chomp.. its the one slightly opp it.

was home by about evening, bathed and was too lazy to go over to grandma's place.. so i rotted at home. how good it is to have the whole house just to my self and i can get a moment of quietness to myself and only myself? but not all the time yea.. family is still important too haha.

feelin down..

on some recaps first, wed was spent out to be with the cousins for aunt's birthday.. dinner at fish and co! was a great gathering as we usually only gathers at grandma's place. seldom an outing like this!

when we were really young.. we had all the time to play together.. to enjoy every moments of our lives.. but as we all grow, time seems to be not enough. it has to be divided amongst other people. like friends, colleagues and others.. i hope that in future, we all can spend more time together!

today's weikeong and david's last day, and theres a farewell lunch at highlanders at clark quay.. foods nice but its ex too! i think that place's name is highlander or something? had fun and laughter there.. and also foto taking! had wanted to take some fotos with the friends there.. but it seem like they dun really take fotos de.. hmm hmm...

thou know dave and wk for only a short time but i will miss the slacking times and crapping times we all had laa! life's all about like this.. people come and people go.. but what's impt is that they left footprints rite?

jus home from supper with hitsu. wanted to go cut hair, shop close le. wanted to go prata, shop close down le. MY FAV ATHAR IS NO LONGER IN EXISTENCE!!!!

sighs.. its quite saddening.. its THE prata shop that accompanied me thru my sec sch days.. a fav hang out me and sam always go.. the supper place for me and hitsu. and now, without warning, its gone and its forever. how to say leh? its a horrible feeling. something you are familiar with and never thought will be gone, is just gone. and you know it won't be back.

that feeling suck. i stood for like 20 seconds outside the closed athar and my mind is at a sudden lost.

sometimes, i think that we as human take things too for granted.. that we never thought that one day, things might be gone.. for this athar case, its not only the food that i miss, but the feelings that i have grew for it over the years. countless supper, that late lunch i had there after my chinese story telling competition, breakfasts there before the remedial classes on sats... and the list goes on. these are part of my memories that i will treasure alot!!!

another task on hand right now is to find another supper/gathering spot at serangoon area. -_-
